digital experience modernization

the legacy

a long-established sun protection provider in stockholm had built its reputation over four decades, serving residential customers, housing associations and businesses with awnings, blinds and related products.

its experience and product offering were already established. but the digital experience had not kept pace with how customers now researched products, compared options and requested services.
the business needed to modernize its online presence without losing the familiarity and trust that came with its long-standing brand.

the vision

clarient was brought in to rethink the website around how customers actually discover products and move toward a consultation.

the engagement covered ux research, persona development, interaction design, responsive ui, design system development, front-end development and wordpress implementation. the work brought the brand, customer journey and content experience together into a more scalable digital foundation.

the challenge

the existing website no longer matched the expectations of today's digital users. the interface felt dated, navigation made it harder to explore the breadth of the product offering and important actions such as requesting consultations were not easy to access. the experience also lacked mobile responsiveness and had seo limitations that restricted organic discovery.

the challenge was not simply to make the website look newer. It was to make a trusted, established business easier to discover, understand and engage with digitally.

the transformation

clarient approached the redesign around the complete customer journey, from first discovery through product consideration and consultation.

research helped identify where users experienced friction, while ux and interaction design translated those insights into simpler journeys. the visual direction balanced the credibility of a 40-year-old business with a more contemporary digital experience.

make the offering easier to explore

the information architecture and navigation were reworked to make the breadth of products easier to discover. product pages were redesigned around clearer information, stronger visuals and more focused calls to action, helping customers move from exploration toward the next step with less effort.

turn interest into action

the new experience made service access a more visible part of the journey. a consultation booking feature gave visitors a direct way to move from product consideration to inquiry, while testimonials and case studies added social proof at key decision points.

build for every device and every update

the website was rebuilt as a responsive, cms-driven experience with a reusable design system. mobile usability, seo and performance were addressed alongside the redesign, while wordpress gave the internal team greater control over content, announcements and ongoing updates without relying on development for every change.

the results

clarient transformed a dated digital presence into a more responsive, conversion-focused experience that better represented a business with four decades of market credibility.

the redesigned website made products easier to discover, simplified key journeys and gave customers clearer paths toward consultation. the impact was measurable: consultation bookings increased by 2.3×, while mobile engagement rose by 35%.

the experience also became more effective at retaining visitors. a clearer structure and stronger product journeys contributed to a 42% reduction in bounce rate, while seo improvements helped drive a 50% increase in organic traffic.

the transformation extended beyond customer-facing improvements. a flexible cms enabled the internal team to manage 100% of website content in-house, making it easier to keep the experience current as products, announcements and customer needs changed.

the result was more than a modern website. the business gained a digital experience capable of carrying its legacy forward while creating more opportunities to be discovered, trusted and contacted.
